How squish ink was born
Every design has a history. Every vision has a beginning.
Squish Ink wasn't born in a design studio or around a conference table. It began with a passion for adventure, a love for photography, and a journey of faith that would eventually change the way I saw the world around me.
For nearly two decades, I've explored the underwater world as a scuba diver, spending more than ten of those years as a scuba instructor. Along the way, I developed a deep appreciation for photography and videography, capturing moments beneath the surface that most people never have the opportunity to experience.
From the smallest marine creatures to the breathtaking beauty of the ocean, every image told a story. At the time, I didn't realize those moments would eventually become part of something much bigger.
From Capturing Moments to Creating Art
For years, photography was my way of preserving memories and sharing the incredible things I witnessed. But eventually, something changed.
I began looking at those photographs and videos differently. Instead of simply seeing an image, I started seeing possibilities. Colors, shapes, details, and moments began transforming into creative ideas.
What started as photography slowly evolved into digital artwork and original designs.
The interesting part? I had never really considered myself an artist.
Yet here I was, discovering a passion for creating something entirely new from experiences I had already lived.
Where Faith Became Part of the Journey
As my relationship with God grew, so did my appreciation for the beauty and purpose behind His creation.
I began recognizing that inspiration can come from anywhere. Sometimes it's an incredible encounter beneath the ocean. Sometimes it's a photograph taken during an adventure. Other times, it's simply a vision that enters my mind and begins taking shape through the creative process.
I believe God gives each of us gifts, talents, and opportunities. Sometimes we don't recognize those gifts until we begin using them.
For me, Squish Ink became an opportunity to bring together my experiences, creativity, and faith in a way I had never imagined.
The Birth of Squish Ink
That's where Squish Ink began taking shape.
I wanted to create more than another clothing brand. I wanted to build something where the artwork meant something, where each design had a history, a purpose, or a story worth sharing.
Some designs begin with actual photographs captured during my adventures. Others begin as thoughts, ideas, or visions that eventually become artwork.
Not every design is about the ocean. Not every design carries a scripture. But every design represents an opportunity to create something original and meaningful.
And that's what makes Squish Ink different.
More Than Just Ink on Fabric
To me, Squish Ink is more than T-shirts, hoodies, or merchandise.
It's a growing collection of experiences, memories, faith, imagination, and creativity brought together through art.
It's about taking something that began as a moment in time or a vision in the mind and turning it into something that others can wear, enjoy, and connect with.
And while I don't know exactly where this journey will lead, I know where the inspiration comes from, and I'm grateful to God for opening a door I never expected.
